As an Engineering Intern supporting Project Delivery, you’ll gain hands‑on experience working alongside Project Managers on water and wastewater capital projects that make a meaningful impact.
This full‑time, paid summer internship provides exposure to project controls, field services, and project delivery processes. You’ll assist with early‑phase project activities, documentation, and system implementation while learning how capital projects move from concept through execution in a regulated utility environment.
Internship Dates: June 1, 2026 – August 7, 2026
What you’d be responsible for:
- Support Project Managers with project controls, documentation, and field‑related activities as assigned
- Assist with updating and expanding project delivery processes, procedures, and standard tools
- Support project scoping and preliminary design activities under the guidance of engineering and project delivery staff
- Update and organize SharePoint templates, libraries, and project documentation
- Assist with the implementation and use of project management and collaboration systems, including Oracle Aconex
- Help maintain organized project records and support communication across project teams
- Collaborate with engineering, construction, and operations stakeholders on assigned tasks
- Follow safety procedures and contribute to a safe, professional work environment
- Support other projects and responsibilities as requested
What’s required to be successful:
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related program
- Interest in water and wastewater infrastructure projects and project delivery
- Basic understanding of water and wastewater systems, or willingness to learn
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Familiarity with SharePoint, project management tools, and construction documents is an asset
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to communicate effectively in a professional environment, both verbally and in writing
- Professionalism, reliability, and a collaborative, learning‑focused mindset
